The Harry Potter Blu-Ray Box Set is a series of fantasy adventures that take place in magical and muggle worlds.

The Blu-ray Box Set films are primarily set around Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the pupils, teachers and mystical creatures that reside there.

Ron Weasley is a red-haired, wizard boy, who is one of seven children from the disadvantaged, Weasley family. He is Harry's best friend, and always fights along side Harry when faced with danger.

Hermione Granger is their extremely intelligent friend, who fears failure yet embraces challenges of all kinds. Often portrayed as a 'know-it-all', Hermione is also a half-blood witch, and is often bullied by fellow student, Draco Malfoy, who believes 'Mud-Bloods' should not be allowed in the magical world.

Along with his friends, Harry Potter also has plenty of help from other wizards, including Professor Dumbledore, the school's headmaster and the greatest wizard of all time.

They also have Hagrid, the half-giant grounds keeper, who, at the beginning of the series, is the closest thing Harry has to a guardian.

And finally, as well as Lord Voldemort and Malfoy, the young heroes have to deal with the malicious Professor Snape, who is always trying to catch them out and punish them for wrong doings.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter is an eleven year old boy who has been living as a Muggle when he finds out his true wizard identity, and that his parents were murdered by Dark Lord, Lord Voldemort. This first film follows Harry, Ron and Hermione as they start their first year at Hogwart's School.


Lord Voldemort has been hiding ever since he tried to kill Harry 11 years ago, and with next to no life in him, tries to get hold of the philospher's stone which grants immortality to its owner.

Harry and his friends find out about this evil plot, and try to prevent the theft of the stone.


Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Their second year is even more challenging than the last. Harry is warned by Dobby, a house-elf, not to return to Hogwarts as danger awaits there.

The trio find out about the existence of the Chamber of Secrets, which is opened creating danger in the school. Students and ghosts are being petrified, and when they find out someone has been taken to the Chamber of Secrets, it is up to the trio to save the victim.

Although Harry does not realise straight away, he is lucky to have a special talent, although this leads some people to think that Harry opened the Chamber...

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

The third film commences with the hunt of Sirius Black, who has escaped from Azkaban. Harry is told Sirius was imprisoned for the death of his parents, and sets out to get his revenge. Hogwarts School is again under attack, and with the fear that Sirius is on school grounds, instruct Dementors to guard them.

Poor Harry is challenged by the creatures which forces their victims to recall the most horrible memories they in their lives, which for Harry is his parent's death.

As well overcoming the Dementors, Harry comes face to face with Sirius, and learns new truths about his parent's death.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

This year Hogwarts School is home to the Triwizard Tournament, a dangerous tournament between three schools of magic. Along with the other school's champions, Fleur Delacour, Viktor Krum and Cedric Diggory, Harry undertake a series of dangerous challenges which test even the most advanced magic.

There are exciting encounters with mermaids, dragons and other magical obstacles, and romance blooms between certain pupils. The final challenge takes an unexpected twist when Harry coming face-to-face with the Dark Lord.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Despite Harry's encounter with Lord Voldemort, the Ministry of Magic refuse to believe that the Dark Lord has risen again.

Fearing Dumbledore will appoint his own wizard army, the head of the Ministry appoints the formidable Delores Umbridge as the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, and to keep the school in check.

The Order of the Phoenix, a secret organisation to prevent the rise of Lord Voldemort, is revealed, tensions between the Ministry and the Order of the Phoenix arise, and a prophecy regarding Harry and Voldemort is revealed.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Voldemort is at his strongest he has been in years, and Hogwarts is longer as safe it has been. Harry fears that danger lies in the school, too, which Dumbledore assures him is not true.

Dumbledore, instead, chooses to prepare for the imminent danger that lies ahead, whilst dealing with the present Death Eater attacks on the school.

Meanwhile, the teenagers also have to deal with their intensifying hormones! A traitor is revealed, leaving Hogwarts to never be the same again...
